Terms and Conditions
These terms explain how quotes, customised patch orders and artwork approval work. They apply alongside your confirmed quotation and do not remove any rights the law gives consumers.
About us and who these terms cover
This website is operated under the trading name Custom Police Patches LTD by Custom Police Patches, at 151 Deansgate, Manchester M3 3WD. Contact: [email protected]./strong>.
We supply bespoke embroidered, woven, PVC and other patch products to organisations and individuals. A consumer buys mainly outside their business or profession. A business customer buys mainly for business or organisational purposes. Different statutory protections may apply.
Quotes, prices and minimum orders
We normally quote after reviewing the requested artwork, quantity, size, construction, backing and delivery location. Our published starting minimum is 10 patches per design. An enquiry or quote request is not itself an accepted order. We will specify the total payable, any delivery charges, applicable tax, payment method and quote validity before you commit. No extra fee should be added without explaining and agreeing it.
Artwork preparation, embroidery digitising and a digital proof are advertised as included in our standard offering, unless an unusual service is separately quoted and accepted in advance.
When is an order accepted?
We accept an order when we confirm it in writing after agreeing the price, specification and eligibility checks. For made-to-order goods, manufacturing starts only after any required payment, artwork approval and order authorisation have been received. Keep a copy of the written confirmation and approved proof for your records.
Artwork submission and proof approval
Please provide accurate wording, dimensions, colour references, quantities, attachments and shipping details. We will prepare a digital proof for review. You are responsible for checking the information shown on it, including spelling, insignia details and measurements, and telling us about corrections before approving it.
A digital mock-up is a visual guide. Manufacturing tolerances, materials and screen colour settings may cause minor differences. Any materially different finish must be identified and agreed. Proof approval does not excuse mistakes made by us, defects or failure to supply what was agreed.
Permission to use logos and police insignia
You confirm that you own the rights, hold a licence or have the necessary permission to submit and order the artwork. Official force crests, collar-number identifiers, warrant markings and other controlled police insignia may require confirmation from the relevant police force, unit or rights holder. We may request reasonable documentary evidence and check its validity.
We may decline or suspend an order if there is a material concern about misrepresentation, impersonation, unauthorised insignia, intellectual-property infringement or illegal use. Please read our Police Insignia & Order Verification Policy and Artwork & Copyright Policy.
Manufacturing and expected dispatch
Our advertised standard production-to-dispatch timeframe is 10–14 working days after the order is approved and ready for production, unless we expressly agree otherwise. This is an estimate, not a guarantee of arrival on a particular day. The confirmed order will identify any different timetable. If we anticipate a material delay, we will tell you and discuss reasonable options.
Delivery and responsibility
Delivery options, charges and destinations are confirmed before payment. We use tracked dispatch where arranged. For consumer orders, responsibility for the goods generally transfers when you, or someone you nominate other than the carrier, takes physical possession, subject to applicable law. See Delivery Information for further detail.
Changes and cancellations
Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an order. We will say whether the change is possible and what costs, if any, are properly payable based on work already undertaken and the agreed contract. Made-to-specification or clearly personalised goods may be exempt from the normal statutory change-of-mind cancellation right. The exception does not remove legal remedies for faulty, misdescribed or non-conforming goods. See our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
Problems with an order
If the goods are damaged, defective or materially different from the agreed specification, contact us with your order reference and clear photographs. We will investigate and provide the remedies required by applicable law. Consumer goods must meet the relevant requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights.
Intellectual property and files
You retain the rights you hold in your own supplied artwork. You grant us permission to use it solely as needed to prepare, manufacture, deliver and support your order, unless otherwise agreed. A production-ready digital or embroidery file is not automatically provided with the physical patches; any transfer or separate licensing of these files must be expressly agreed. We will not publish or showcase restricted police insignia or confidential customer artwork without appropriate permission.
Liability and unavoidable events
Neither party is responsible for an unavoidable delay outside its reasonable control to the extent the law permits, but we will communicate promptly and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Consumer remedies remain unaffected.
Complaints and governing law
Our Complaints Procedure explains how to raise a problem and ask for a review. These terms are interpreted under the law applicable to the contract. If you are a consumer, this does not take away mandatory protections or court rights you hold in your part of the United Kingdom.
Updates and contact
The terms that apply to an order are those provided or made available when the contract was formed, together with any expressly agreed written variations. We may update these website terms for future orders. Last updated: [PUBLICATION DATE].
